License Renewal

Please read Information listed below prior to beginning your renewal.

  • Odd-number licensees: Your license is set to expire February 28, 2021. The renewal application process will be available beginning December 1, 2020. You will be required to have met the CE requirement mandated for your years of active massage therapy practice.
  • Even-number licensees: You do not renew your license this renewal period. Your license expires February 28, 2022. Please keep track of your CE hours on your own. DO NOT submit CE hours to the Board office for recording.

Special Notice

The ND Board of Massage Therapy has made the following change to the continuing education requirements in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

  • Odd-numbered licenses whose license expiration date is 2/28/2021, the hands-on hours requirement has been waived for this upcoming renewal of license only. All other continuing education laws remain in place. Therefore, for this upcoming renewal, you may complete all of your CE hours on-line!
  • Even-numbered licenses whose license expiration date is 2/28/2022, the hands-on hours requirement remains in place. There is a limit of 10 hours which may be earned on-line. The NDBMT will continue to monitor the pandemic and any decision to waive the hands-on hours requirement will be considered at a later date.

During online renewal, please do not use the back button in your browser. To make a change to answers on a previous page or to review your renewal before submitting, please use the "Save for Later" button to save your renewal, log back in and access and review the previous pages. If at any time you wish to exit the process, please click the "Exit" button located at the bottom of the page.

If you will be away from your computer for any period of time after starting your online renewal, it is strongly advised that you click on the "Save for Later" button located at the bottom of each page to minimize the risk of losing the data that you have input into the system. You can then log back into the renewal at a later time by logging into the online renewal.

If you do not wish to renew online, you must download a PDF of the renewal and mail the completed form with a money order or cashier's check for the renewal fee to the Board office. Personal checks will NOT be accepted for payment of the renewal fee!
